What makes Bellafill different from other dermal fillers? Bellafill is the first and only dermal filler to be approved and classified as a permanent dermal filler by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While Bellafill doesn't necessarily last forever, patients can expect for the treatment to last for five years or longer.
Having been studied by the FDA, Bellafill has the highest patient satisfaction rating as compared to other dermal fillers on the market today. Most dermal fillers contain, primarily, hyaluronic acid, which is reabsorbed into the body over six to 12 months. Bellafill is different. It is made of collagen (a substance that your body has naturally) and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres.
The collagen component of the Bellafill provides immediate volume in the area of the injection. The microspheres in the Bellafill formula actually form a type of “scaffolding” deep beneath the skin, where collagen originally forms. This stimulates your body to make new collagen over time, and gives it the support system needed to keep it in place for years. The collagen component of Bellafill will seamlessly be replaced by your own natural collagen, allowing you to maintain your appearance, without interruption, for years to come.
The fact that Bellafill offers years, rather than months, of correction has made it the dermal filler of choice for many patients. This filler has been a genuine game changer in terms of dermal filler maintenance. Follow-up treatments are only needed about every five years, rather than every six months.
Preparing for Bellafill treatment
Since Bellafill contains bovine collagen, you will need to have an allergy test approximately one month prior to your treatment. The test takes just minutes and is performed on a tiny section of one arm. Most patients are not allergic to bovine collagen. If you do have an allergy to bovine collagen, it may be necessary to another hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler instead.
When you’re ready for your Bellafill treatment, you will participate in a consultation to discuss your needs and goals. At CASS Clinical Med Spa, we always take the time needed to truly understand your appearance goals, so that we can make the best recommendations. It's our goal and privilege to help you look your best.
Bellafill is ideal for several areas of your body.
Jawline: Bellafill can re-contour your jaw, giving you a more defined look and minimizing a jawline that appears weak.
Smile lines: Medically known as the nasolabial folds, smile lines are the deep creases around the mouth and nose – p one of the most obvious signs of aging. Bellafill can plump the skin in this area, restoring a smooth and wrinkle-free look.
Cheeks: Bellafill is ideal for the cheeks. Whether you're struggling with sunken cheeks or just want to emphasize your cheekbones, Bellafill can be a perfect choice.
Temples: The temple area can become quite sunken over the years – a key indicator of age. Bellafill replaces that volume in a subtle way, allowing you to maintain smooth temples for years into the future.
If you're looking for correction in other areas, such as the lips, your CASS Clinical Med Spa practitioner can recommend the perfect dermal filler or other product for your needs. Many patients find that a combination of treatments may be the best solution for their specific needs. For example, if you're concerned about both fine facial lines and deeper folds, you might find that a combination of Botox and Bellafill is ideal.

Recently, I paid twice the amount of my previous fee for personal training, because I knew the value was there. For all services I purchase, I expect a specialist to carry out that service, whether a personal trainer, housekeeper, massage therapist or neurosurgeon I am always willing to compensate based on value. What I do not want is the […]
The thread lifts of today may not align with what you thought you knew about thread lifts. In the late-1990s, the so-called “thread lift” was using threads to lift sagging skin, known as the “kinder and gentler” face lift. However, it had much scarier side effects, including scaring. Infection and obvious lumps under the skin […]
